Travel Classes for Design and Construction Professionals
Presented in conjuction with AIBD and Period Style Homes, Inc.
The program offers advanced training in traditional residential design and aims to teach design and construction professionals how to create better designed and detailed houses of beauty and value. The classes will cover: general concepts of residential design; detailed instruction in selected regional styles; site visits and sketching tours. The core of these classes is the presentation of case studies of new projects done by architects and designers that explore the various styles under consideration.

Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference: Boston 2008

This Spring semester the ICA & CA will continue its highly successful
on-site continuing education programming earmarked for architecture, design, building and real estate offices. Courses may be sceduled as day-long Saturday intensives or as multi-session weekday evening classes. Traditional Architectural Rendering in Wash: India Ink to Full Color
Instructor: Anthony J. Taylor, AIA, AJ.T Architect, PC
This course will introduce the student to the traditional architectural rendering media of India ink and watercolor, and the various ways in which they can be used to create non-perspectival wash renderings of architectural subjects. Among the topics covered are materials, India ink wash, toned ink wash, and full watercolor; stretching and
mounting watercolor paper; casting of shadows and shades, simulating
texture, atmospheric perspective, and drafting with India Ink; sheet composition, and the production of the Beaux Arts drawing type called the analytique.
