Now in our twelfth year, John B. Murray Architect, LLC has continued to grow by relying on our enduring client relationships and practiced ability to collaborate as a team with designers, landscape architects and other building professionals. Starting with hand-drawn plans and details, clients receive personal attention that results in a residence with a sense of place – reflecting its context, while seamlessly integrating sophisticated details, modern conveniences and unique hardscapes. We offer a comprehensive range of services to accommodate the goals of our clients who are searching for exceptional architecture, whether creating a country estate, a simple vernacular farmhouse or a classical urban residence. Our success is in achieving a timeless, lasting presence with our work.
With Design Associate, Charlotte Worthy, we have continued to build upon the enormous strengths and talents of our studio in producing successful projects throughout the country. These include a recently completed seaside estate in Sea Island, Georgia, a retreat compound in Maui and a Federal-style farmhouse in Columbia County. The completion of numerous apartment renovations continues to be a source of great satisfaction for the firm. Our ability to transform an interior into what can be conceived as “having always been there” with modern amenities and in many instances under challenging time constraints is a hallmark of our portfolio. We take particular pride in our relationship with top decorators and the interiors we create together.
The firm’s work has been lauded by our clients, recognized by our contemporaries, and featured in many publications, such as Architectural Digest, Period Homes, Traditional Building, New Old House, Beautiful Homes, and Town and Country.
