Academic Lecture: Tuesday, October 5; 6:00PM – 8:00PM

In this lecture Professor Samantha Salden will discuss how sustainable environments act as intricate and interdependent webs of formal, constructional, climatic, economic and social factors. She will address the language of architectural and urban forms, and how the civic responsibility of the architect and designer in contemporary society can be achieved through sustainable design. In recent years, Prof. Salden practiced as an associate and project manager in the esteemed firm of Historical Concepts in Atlanta. While in Georgia, she was a founding board member of the Institute for Classical Architecture and Classical America (ICA&CA) Southeast Chapter, creating educational and networking opportunities for design professionals, students and craftsmen throughout the region. Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest and Dream Homes of Atlanta. She has also been honored for her teaching from Notre Dame’s prestigious Kaneb Center.
