Production Architect/ Designer Position available
Michael G. Imber, Architects, PLLC, is a modern classical design firm of twelve based in San Antonio, Texas. We are a studio of diverse individuals with advanced studies in traditional architecture. We are a nationally recognized, award winning firm and currently have projects in California, Florida, Utah, Bahamas, as well as throughout Texas.
Position Description:
The ideal candidate will be in a leadership role with the ability to multi-task. You and your team will have the responsibility from the schematic design stage through construction administration. You must have an understanding of the scope of the project, the budget constraints, the project timetable and be responsible for reviewing the work of all in-house production architectural staff and outside consultants to verify compliance with company standards, building codes, and project criteria.
Candidate Qualifications:
The qualified candidate should be a registered Architect, or actively working towards license, with at least 5 years of professional experience as a Production Architect. BARCH with experience in traditional and classical standards required. The ideal candidate must possess the following traits: exceptional time management, basic computer skills, motivated, driven, high integrity, and a strong work ethic. You must have leadership and organizational skills to direct the project team.
Prefer a candidate with interests in interpretation of historic precedents, urban planning and new urbanism, an understanding of building craft, material, and the process of traditional design. Strong drawing skills to communicate and visualize spaces required. Ability to develop 3-D models and work in AutoCAD and Sketchup preferred. Freehand rendering and watercolor skills a plus.
