Hosted by the Philadelphia Chapter | 1 Credit Toward the Certificate in Classical Architecture
Join the Philadelphia Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art for an exclusive brunch and a private tour of the Tague Lumber Showroom with their expert staff and representatives. Following brunch, participants are invited to join architects Martin Brandwein and Fred Bissinger for a presentation as they share practical ways to apply classical design methods.
This course introduces students to moldings, the building blocks of classical architecture. Students will learn how to categorize and identify classical moldings by geometry and function, and to understand their relationship to the classical orders. Our class will conclude by examining the use of standard wood molding profiles in a traditional wood cornice.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website, or contact the Chapter directly, for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
