About

Harrison Design is dedicated to one principal idea: architecture should be beautiful and highly functional. From high-end residences to townhomes and specialty commercial projects, the award-winning firm creates homes inspired by the best of classical architecture. Founded in 1991, each of its seven U.S. offices upholds excellence in design and workmanship, client relationships and project execution. The team is equally skilled in the design of new projects, complex renovations and historical preservation. The tenets of classical architecture are evident in every Harrison Design commission.

Harrison Design’s New York practice has designed estate homes on Long Island's "Gold Coast" and in the region since 2011. In 2019, the New York office moved to Manhattan, where it is led by Rebecca Ascher, RA, with Joseph Piscitelli, ASLA, RLA, directing landscape architecture. The firm’s work includes an American Colonial residence in Greenwich, Conn., that was awarded a Shutze award in 2015, and the renovation of the historic, Norman-style, Harriman-Rumsey estate in Sands Point, L.I., that was originally designed by McKim, Mead & White.
