FAQ
How do I become a member?

Visit classicist.org/membership to sign up online or call 212-730-9646 x104 to sign up by phone. You may also email [email protected] for additional information or an invoice if you prefer to pay by check.

How do I know which level is right for me?

All ICAA membership benefits are listed in each category. For reference, at the $200 level and above you are invited to select benefits as a general member or as a professional member. Should you select professional, your company or firm name will be added to classicist.org and in our print directory. If you would like to discuss benefits in more detail, please contact the ICAA membership department at 212-730-9646 x104 or by emailing [email protected].

Which ICAA chapter will I belong to?

Your membership is active across all of the ICAA’s 15 chapters. Your email will be automatically added to a chapter based on the address you provide so that you can start receiving news and updates about events in your local area. If you would like to be added to a different chapter or would like to receive updates from more than one chapter, please contact [email protected] or indicate this in the "Affiliated Chapter" menu when signing up online. Please note that you will be associated to one primary region but you are welcome to sign up for as many different chapter email alerts as you would like.

What happens next?

Once your payment is processed you are considered an active member of the ICAA and may begin attending events, programs, or courses at the member discount level (where applicable) across the ICAA’s 15 chapters. You will also receive a tax-deductible letter in the mail from our office indicating you are an active member of the ICAA. Note that the ICAA does not distribute membership cards.

How long is my membership valid for and when will I know my membership is about to expire?

How long is my membership valid for and when will I know my membership is about to expire? Your membership is valid one year from the day you sign up. You will receive a notice to renew by email and/or by mail three months prior to your expiration date.

I renewed my membership but just received another renewal form in the mail. Why did this happen?

Often there is overlap between when a renewal form is sent out and payment received. Please contact the ICAA membership department at 212-730-9646 x104 or by email at [email protected] to make sure that your information has been processed correctly.

How can I get more involved in the ICAA?

If you are interested in volunteering, hosting, or getting more involved with the organization, we encourage you to reach out to your local chapter coordinator or chapter president. You can find their contact information by visiting classicist.org/chapters. If you are in the New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut area, email [email protected].
