2026 Summer Studio in Classical Architecture

Every year, the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art hosts the Summer Studio in Classical Architecture, a four-week intensive focused on the core principles of classical design. Thirty students from across the country joined this year's program at the ICAA's headquarters in New York City, and participated in courses led by practitioners in the field, including educational lectures, field drawing trips at sites throughout the city, drafting architectural plans by hand, and watercolor rendering exercises. Throughout the four weeks, students used these hands-on skills to develop their final project: designing a classical pavilion sited in Brooklyn's Prospect Park, and presenting their plans to a panel of practicing architects.

The Summer Studio in Classical Architecture is supported through a charitable donation in honor of the late Richard H. Driehaus. The ICAA would like to thank our donors for continuing Richard H. Driehaus's legacy of charitable support for classical architecture.
