The Case Studies in New Classical & Traditional Design series explores the design and execution of new contemporary classical and traditional work from the practitioner’s perspective. Each session explores a unique project or building type to demystify the complexities of how challenging projects successfully come together.
In this installment, Eric Osth, Chair of the Gindroz Awards Committee, hosts a panel discussion with the leadership of Artspace Projects Inc., the 2024 recipient of the Gindroz Award for Excellence in Affordable Housing. Kelley Lindquist, President of Artspace, and Will Law, Chief Operating Officer, discuss the organization’s innovative nonprofit approach to housing development—building strong coalitions of funders and stakeholders within the very communities they serve. Ray Gindroz, the award’s namesake, also shares his perspective on the importance of affordable housing development.
Artspace Projects, Inc. is a non-profit dedicated to creating and preserving affordable housing and workspaces for entrepreneurs, the creative workforce, and communities in need. Since 1979, Artspace has revitalized neighborhoods through innovative real estate development, including historic building adaptive reuse.
