In Your Neighborhood: Returning to Pittsburgh's Frick Park, with Eric Osth

    By ICAA

    September 15, 2020

Eric Osth, of Urban Design Associates, returns to Frick Park in his Pittsburgh neighborhood, and takes viewers through a different entrance to the iconic park, featuring a gatehouse also designed by John Russell Pope.

The ICAA is excited to bring attention to the classical and traditional architectural and design elements, decisions, and features that make the places we live more welcoming and beautiful, as part of our new In Your Neighborhood series.

We welcome additional entries, and want to hear from you!

If you are interested in proposing a location, please contact [email protected].

Lead Sponsor of the In Your Neighborhood series: AE Greyson General Contractors

Eric Osth, who launched the ICAA's popular "In Your Neighborhood" segment with a visit to a classical archway near his home, returns to the series with a second entry in Pittsburgh's Frick Park.

Eric presents architectural sketches and insight into the park's history, and highlights the elegant design choices made by famed architect John Russell Pope, who monumentalized nature as a crucial feature of Pittsburgh's urban environment.
