Join expert artisan and designer Marcus Pluntke of Dieter Pluntke Decorative Painted Finishes for a live demonstration of various techniques in faux finishing and decorative painting. Charlie Scheider, will join Marcus in the demonstration and answering questions.
Dieter Pluntke Decorating is a group of Washington, DC area artisans, skilled in decorative finishes. The company was founded in Washington, DC, in 1972, by Dieter Pluntke, who was born in Germany and studied art in Hannover. Dieter worked for several Presidents of the United States, and established the business, before retiring in 2015.
His son, Marcus Pluntke has extensive design experience, learned from his father, and now operates the business, and consults with designers and clients. Artist, Charlie Scheider, joins Marcus in the company today.
After attaining degrees from the Industrial Design program at Virginia Tech, Marcus and Charlie have worked on numerous high-profile projects including the National Gallery of Art, the White House, the National Portrait Gallery, the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, FL and many private clients.
