Hosted by the ICAA Chicago-Midwest Chapter
A hands-on floral arrangement workshop examining parallels between floral composition and core design principles: scale, form, proportion, color, and materiality. Just as landscape design shapes and enhances the exterior built environment, flora enriches our interior space and connects us to nature.
Hoerr Schaudt’s interdisciplinary team will share how landscape architects approach spatial design in and around buildings, drawing from select case studies to illustrate process, material strategy, and compositional intent. The session will then transition to a guided floral design exercise, translating those principles into floral form.
Each participant will create and take home their own arrangement. All materials and refreshments will be provided.
This event is generously sponsored by Hoerr Schaudt and Chai Ming Studios.
