Hosted by the ICAA Rocky Mountain Chapter
Denver, Colorado has earned a place in the American imagination as a city uniquely integrated with nature. Denver matured and grew significantly during an exceptional period of urban design, arts and architecture now known as the American Renaissance (1876-1917). As a result, the city’s core civic buildings and infrastructure reflect classical design ideals set in harmony with the natural landscape.
This presentation is a visual celebration of Denver as a sophisticated and fully realized expression of civic art worthy of rediscovery and appreciation. Historic drawings and images will be paired with new photographs and videography to reveal the enduring beauty Denverites have inherited and steward as the city continues to grow.
