Join the ICAA to tour four historic Federal houses in Odessa, Delaware, from a former Quaker community. This tour is managed by the Historic Odessa Foundation (HOF): https://www.historicodessa.org/history/properties-historic-odessa.
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tour the houses with local docents which will also include landscape architects Jennifer Horn and Robert Bell discussing the gardens.
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch at Cantwell’s Tavern in Odessa. The menus will be sent to attendees ahead of time, and lunch is included in the ticket price.
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tour of the George Read II House & Gardens in New Castle conducted by Director Brenton Grom. https://readhouseandgardens.org.
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A reception in the garden during a panel discussion on the importance of historic landscapes by our landscape architects.
Transportation is at the attendees’ discretion though we encourage ride sharing! For those who wish to spend the night before, or after, accommodations can be had at the Hotel Dupont in Wilmington. An itinerary including a private tour of Nemours will be available to the attendees on Sunday at no additional cost.
