Hosted by the ICAA New England Chapter
Join the New Vitruvians for a guided tour of Roseland Cottage, a National Historic Landmark and one of the finest surviving examples of Gothic Revival domestic architecture in the country.
Built in 1846 by New York merchant Henry Bowen as a summer retreat, Roseland Cottage is instantly recognizable for its vivid pink exterior, pinnacled gables, and exuberant Victorian interiors.
Inside, original wall coverings, stained glass, and patterned carpets survive largely unchanged, making it a rare and remarkable time capsule.
The grounds reflect the landscape principles of Andrew Jackson Downing, the 19th-century tastemaker whose influence on American domestic architecture and landscape design is still felt today.
The tour runs from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, followed by lunch together at a nearby restaurant (not included) - a great chance to connect with fellow emerging professionals who love the built environment.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website or contact the Chapter directly for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
