Hosted by the ICAA Washington Mid-Atlantic Chapter
Please join us on Saturday October 5 for a day long in-depth excursion into the historic Green Spring and Worthington Valleys just north of Baltimore. The day will include 6 private houses ranging from historic to recently renovated along with lunch in a historic church and a private ending reception.
We will wind our way through a landscape listed on the National Register of Historic Places that forms the largest amount of open green space between Washington and Boston; known for agricultural abundance, horse country and stunning views.
Start the day at one of the earliest houses in the area that traces ownership back to the founding families of Maryland (from which attendees can carpool) and see 2 other private homes including a Victorian family compound with an artists studio and one with a John Soane influenced domed room. Afterwards we will stop for lunch at the historic St Thomas Episcopal Church built in 1743.
Following lunch, we will travel north to Worthington Valley, home of the world-renowned Maryland Hunt Cup and Grand National Steeplechase, where we will tour 2 additional private historic homes. The day will end with cocktails and refreshments at one of the most prominent horse farms in the area, home to a renowned designer.
Please provide your own transportation. Lunch and evening reception included.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website or contact the Chapter directly for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
