BROWN-GARRY-CONGDON HOUSE:The Brown-Garry-Congdon House, designed by Jacques Benedict in the French Chateau style, is one of the finest homes in the 7th Avenue Parkway Historic District. Built in 1921, the unique footprint is narrow and long measuring 18 feet wide x 100 feet long. A steep French profile clay tiled roof with roundel dormers covers the two-story stuccoed masonry walls with a brick water table base and brick quoins on the corners and the tall narrow window fenestration bays. A two-story semicircular conservatory bay overlooks the walled back garden. Sources: Denver Landmarks and Historic Districts by Tom Noel, Library of CongressHOW TO PARTICIPATE:1.
