Hosted by the Washington Mid-Atlantic Chapter
The L’Enfants will be returning to in-person sketching outdoors this October. However, we will still be practicing social distancing. We will not be congregating for coffee this time, but attendees are welcome to bring their own. Instead, we will meet directly at the site, Rock Creek Cemetery and Churchyard. The church, St. Paul’s, is the only surviving colonial church in Washington and is part of the wider cemetery complex whose land was donated in the early 18th century. Besides the church itself, the cemetery has numerous sculptures and memorials worth seeing and sketching.
The main entrance and gathering point will be the churchyard gate (corner of Rock Creek Church Road and Webster ST NW) at 10am. Please dress warmly and bring you rown sketching materials, and your own coffee, too.
