Hosted by the ICAA New England Chapter and Traditional Building
The Traditional Building Conference Series, now in its twenty-fifth year, offers an engaging mix of informative and inspirational education alongside exceptional architectural tours in some of America’s most historic locations. We’re proud to share that several ICAA New England members will be featured as speakers at the 2026 program, including JB Clancy, John Tittmann, Patrick Ahearn, and Mike Tartamella.
Attendees can earn up to 13 AIA Continuing Education Units per event (most HSWs) while learning from industry experts and connecting with professional peers in an intimate setting with excellent food and meaningful networking opportunities. The 2026 Salem event will take place March 24–25, 2026 at the Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites in Salem, Massachusetts, and will include architectural tours of landmark sites such as the House of the Seven Gables (1668), The Phillips House (1821), The Gedney House (1665), and the Gardiner-Pingree House (1804), as well as sketching opportunities along Broad and Chestnut Streets. Seminar topics will explore Samuel McIntire and his legacy, decarbonizing the built environment, traditional residential design before and after fossil fuels, and designing for health, safety, and welfare.
This event is hosted by an ICAA Chapter. Please check the Chapter website or contact the Chapter directly for the most up-to-date details including dates, times, and pricing.
