Join the ICAA and artist Lynne Rutter for a unique Saturday workshop exploring the artistry of Verre Églomisé.
Verre Églomisé is the traditional art of reverse gilded and painted glass, with many artistic and useful applications such as table-tops, backsplashes, door insets, and so much more. This hands-on workshop explores the fundamental techniques of églomisé including mirror glass gilding with genuine gold leaf, as well as effects that can be created with this inspiring medium. Lynne will also discuss the history of this amazing art form and answer questions about all things gilding. Each participant will create their own gilded glass ornament to take home!
