Hosted by the Rocky Mountain Chapter
Since the beginning of their architectural practice in 1992, Russell Windham and William Curtis and have dedicated their work to the principle that classical architecture, in its best sense, should embody the same rigor, the same attention to surroundings, and the same thoughtful approach to design theory that fuels the most forward-looking styles and movements. In their graciously appointed book, Curtis and Windham reflect on more than two decades of the practice of classical contemporary architecture, with quiet assertion that carefully considered work performed along traditional lines can be, in its own way, groundbreaking.
Russell Windham is the Chairman of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art Board of Directors, and has served as President of the Texas Chapter. In 1999, he and William Curtis received that organization's Arthur Ross Award, which honors architects working in the classical tradition. He has lectured and exhibited in Texas, Rome, and at the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art in New York. He has published work in Architectural Digest and other national publications. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Mr. Windham has served on juries at various architecture schools throughout the United States and is a member of the Rice Design Alliance.
