We are seeking to hire an architect to be an integral member of our team, to take on expanding responsibility, and eventually move into a senior role at our growing firm. Ideal candidates will have 5-10 years’ relevant experience and will be looking to increase their expertise in fine home design and craft. The new team member will be involved in all areas of design. Responsibilities will include zoning and code research, schematic design, product specification, construction document preparation, and project management, among others. Candidates must be self motivated, able to work independently, and have a strong eye for detail. An understanding of wood frame construction is essential, as is an understanding of construction drawings and their preparation. Good freehand drawing skills will also be valuable, as will an appreciation for the myriad architectural styles that have evolved in the United States. Proficiency in Vectorworks, Sketchup, and Adobe Suite preferred.
