Tiek Design Studio is seeking an Architectural Designer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in high-end residential work and a strong command of classical design. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of architectural precedent, along with a high level of skill in technical drawing.

This role involves close collaboration with the Principal in developing projects from conception through completion, with an emphasis on thoughtful, narrative-based, and historically informed design. As an Architectural Designer, you will play a central role in advancing projects through all phases, engaging deeply in the design process while ensuring the work is carried forward with clarity and precision, and translated into well-coordinated documentation.

Success in this role is defined by the quality and consistency of the drawings, the rigor of the detailing, a thoughtful and creative contribution to the design, and a disciplined ability to manage scope, schedule, and coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advance residential designs through all project phases
  • Produce clear, accurate, and highly detailed drawing sets
  • Translate conceptual work into well-resolved Revit or AutoCAD documentation
  • Contribute to the design and refinement of classical detailing and proportion
  • Maintaining project records and documentation systems.
  • Assigning and supervising team tasks.
  • Support visualization and presentation work as needed
  • Participate in site visits and construction administration as needed

Qualifications:

  • Degree in architecture or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes & construction document production is required. 10+ years of experience in residential architectural design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and hand sketching is essential
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation and detailing
  • Demonstrated understanding of classical or traditional architecture
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Portfolio reflecting both technical ability and design creativity
