Troy Rhone Garden Design, LLC is seeking Landscape Designers/Landscape Architects to work in our unique design/build studio environment. Successful candidates must be organized and creative with strong design and graphic skills; including ability to prepare landscape plans, draft construction details, and create mock-up graphics packages. Must be self-motivated, have a strong desire to learn, and a willingness to adapt to a multitude of varied residential projects across changing ecoregions and USDA growing zones. Candidates must also be able to work collaboratively, and should be adept at building strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These are some typical responsibilities of this position. This is not an exhaustive list. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

  • Create mock-up graphics presentation packages using a combination of Photoshop, InDesign, and hand graphics.
  • Prepare plans such as grading plans, planting plans, drainage plans, and construction details.
  • Prepare site plans and other documents for permitting.
  • Assist Landscape Architects/Project Managers with pricing proposals and invoices as needed.
  • Assist Landscape Architects/Project Managers with ordering plant material as needed.
  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations.
  • Hardscape designing and detailing.
  • Help build graphics library and construction details library.
  • Occasional work assisting w/ retail business

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Landscape Architect license is preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of applicable professional experience. Candidates with a strong background in high-end residential design desired.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up or other 3D visualization programs preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Land FX preferred.
  • Strong rendering skills and drafting by hand are desirable.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of Southeastern U.S. plant material is helpful.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes and details preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with team of designers and work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Travel required on occasion.
