Duration: Two days per week (in-person at the ICAA’s office). minimum 3 month period, potentially renewable upon completion. Schedule flexible.

Start Date: ASAP (flexible start date with respect to school schedules)

Compensation: $1,500 stipend

Reporting to: Marketing Director and Video & Content Director

Internship Description: The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Marketing & Communications Intern. This person will gain a thorough understanding of non-profit marketing and communications strategy and content development, including blog entries, email newsletters, social media promotions, video content, website development, press outreach, and more. In particular, the ICAA is seeking a candidate with an enthusiasm for telling compelling stories across various social media channels and in both written and visual mediums. The Marketing & Communications Intern is invited, but not required, to attend public programs, education programs, and other ICAA events.

Projects and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Education department to provide marketing support for classes and multi-day educational programs
  • Assist in composing and scheduling social media posts, providing new ideas for content, and experimenting with new platforms and approaches
  • Assist Marketing and Communications staff with updating the ICAA’s website
  • Assist in assembling eblasts, newsletters, and other email promotions
  • Assist in writing and distributing press releases, and communicating with writers, editors, and publications
  • Assist with tracking marketing and communications projects, and evaluating analytics for social media, email, and website performance
  • Provide general administrative support to Marketing Department as needed

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Deep familiarity and facility with social media platforms
  • Experience editing online content via a CMS
  • Background in email and social media-based marketing
  • Strong visual sensibility
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Currently pursuing a degree or recent college graduate with interest in the arts
  • Prior experience working in a non-profit preferred, but not required
