Position Overview: We are seeking a growing and energetic Residential Architect to join our team focused on residential design-build projects in South Florida. The ideal candidate will have a background in residential architecture, an enthusiasm for traditional design principles with the ability to oversee projects from initial concept through construction completion, ensuring design integrity and adherence to project requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery: Coordinate multiple residential design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality control at every stage of the design and production process. Be responsible for maintaining a preliminary design schedule and deliverables.

• Design Development: Support creative and functional design solutions that meet client needs and comply with local building codes and regulations with adherence to traditional design and a technical understanding of historic detailing.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including in-house drafting team, designers, and construction project managers, as well as external consultants and vendors. Provide ongoing technical guidance to junior team members.

• Construction Administration: Support the architecture team during the construction phase, conducting site visits to ensure projects are built according to approved plans and specifications, shop drawing review, and addressing on-site issues or questions promptly.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain quality control procedures throughout the design and construction process to uphold the firm's standards of excellence and stewardship.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect in the state of Florida, reciprocal license out of state, or on track to be licensed. Licensing opportunity and support are available.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential architecture. Experience within a firm focused on traditional architecture is a plus.
• Understanding of traditional design & technical detailing.
• Proficiency in design software including Revit (Preferred), AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of Florida building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
• Familiarity with the unique architectural styles and environmental considerations of South Florida.
• High level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
