Studio Tre is a design practice working across a wide-ranging scale of interior and building design.

Current projects span the Americas and Europe, from residential to commercial in use, building upon the experience of the three founders’ leadership of building projects across the globe for discerning clientele and past associated design studios.

The studio was founded in 2022, and maintains offices in New York and Florida.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Studio Tre seeks a Project Architect, with a minimum of 6-8 years experience in single family high end residential within an established Architecture practice to join the growing studio.

Project Architect reports directly to the Partner in charge of Architecture, and will assist across a number of residential and commercial/hospitality projects to realize the vision and finer details established by Studio Tre. Candidate must have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple projects on varying timelines, and to be able to nimbly shift from design development and production efforts to communicating with the complex teams involved in manifesting ideas into built realities.

Ideal candidates will be diligent, highly organized, with a sharp attention to detail, and possess a self-starting team-oriented attitude. Interest and hands-on building experience in varied forms of design, craft, and art is always considered a plus at Studio Tre.

The position is full-time, and requires five (5) days a week presence at the Studio on 20th Street in the Flatiron neighborhood of New York. Candidates must be located in the New York metropolitan area.

Technical requirements :

  • Completion of a professional degree in Architecture, either B. Arch or M. Arch.
  • Minimum six (6) years working experience at an Architecture practice. Experience across all phases of design particularly Construction Documents and Construction Contract Administration.
  • Experience with DOB, New York residential building approvals, and permitting/entitlement process is considered a plus.
  • Experience or education working within traditional and historic vocabularies of architecture and art, and familiarity with the design principles underlying "traditional" and "classical" design is considered a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite design management software. Command of Photoshop and InDesign is desired.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and broader Autodesk suite, with a focus on technical construction drawings. 3D Modeling and Rendering experience is a considered a plus, but not necessarily required.
