    June 5, 2019

On Sunday, May 5th, 2019, the ICAA was privileged to host the winners of the 38th Annual Arthur Ross Awards for a series of lectures about their respective careers, accompanied by stunning pictures of their work.

Speakers included G. P. Schafer (Architecture), Julian Fellowes (Fine Arts), Paul Ostergaard of Urban Design Associates (Community Design & City Planning), W.P. Sullivan (Artisanship & Craftsmanship), Professor James Stevens Curl (History & Writing), and Anthony Baus (Fine Arts - Painting).

Following the lectures, ICAA Board Member Barbara Eberlein hosted a panel discussion where each speaker was given the opportunity to discuss how their work is informed by the classical tradition.

The event also recognized the winners of the 2019 Award for Emerging Excellence in the Classical Tradition, Imanol Iparraguirre and Aritz Díez Oronoz. Imanol and Artiz are an architecture team practicing in Spain, and were chosen from a competitive field of young professionals exhibiting exceptional talent in the fields of classical and traditional architecture, landscape and interior design, building crafts, urban design and planning, and the allied arts.

The Award, now in its third year, was presented by INTBAU Executive Director Harriet Wennberg and is a collaboration between the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), The Prince's Foundation (PF), and the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism (INTBAU).
