Please join us in welcoming back artist and author Richard E. Scott for a morning sketching tour of The Huntington in San Marino. Learn how to sketch from direct observation any subject desired, from architecture, to landscape, to artworks. Participants are welcome to draw in pencil or pen and/or paint in watercolor. Instructor will demonstrate drawing techniques in pencil and painting techniques in watercolor.
Richard E. Scott is an artist, architectural illustrator and teacher. He teaches drawing and painting at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California, the Huntington in San Marino, California, and art workshops throughout the United States and Europe. For 25 years he has taught at numerous universities including Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA, Art Center, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UNLV. His book Sketching - from Square One to Trafalgar Square is a text for many design and art programs throughout the United States.
